A Korean Film "Barefoot Dream" was filmed in Hiroshima with over 1000 volunteer extras. Based on the real story happened here in Hiroshima.

2009.Dec.11-13

The U.S.-born film festival, Damah Film Festival made its debut in Hiroshima. As a special guest, Mr. Ralph Winter (a producer for many Hollywood hits including “Star Trek” series, “X-MEN” series, “Planet of the Apes (2001)”, and “Fantastic Four (2005)”joined the festival and did some workshops. Famous Japanese film directors and producers also joined the festival. Please see the festival website.

The actress Emanuel Riva, who played a main role in the film "Hiroshima Mon Amour" visited Hiroshima with a scripter Sylvette Baudrot. Photos Ms. Riva took in Hiroshima 50 years ago while filming were found and photo exhibitions were also held. Photo here

Mr. Mario Sorrenti, a famous photographer especially in the fashion industry, visited Hiroshima with his assisstant Lars. He took the portraits of the Mayor, Kimono designer, Cosmetic brush maker, an artist and a baseball player, plus photos of modern architectures.
